Calling all Middle and High School students!! St Mary's IGNITE Youth Group will begin to hold a Bi-Weekly "SMALL GROUP" beginning on Wednesday, February 13th from 7-8pm. The topic will be different each meeting. This Small Group is the first to be available to our IGNITE youth group. This will give the young teens a chance to fellowship and be in a small group setting where they will be able to be open about their faith and build a stronger relationship with Christ. Agenda: Topic: Rediscovering Jesus Small Group Discussion Games, Raffles and Snacks/Drinks Please let us know if you son or daughter would like to attend, there is no cost. Feel free to drop the kids off in our care. Keith, Karmen, and I will facilitate the small group for IGNITE. We are looking forward hearing from you and hope to see your kiddo's there. Please join us this Sunday, November 4th from 12:00 p.m-5:00 p.m for our annual Fall Dinnerfest. The menu includes Fried Oysters, Steamed Shrimp, Fried Chicken, Ham and all of the fixings. Adults and all carry-out orders are $28.00. Children 6-11 are $10.00. (Children 5 and under are free) This is an all you can eat buffet style event. The mission of our healing prayer ministry is to help people to have a personal encounter with the Lord and experience his healing love. We do this by praying with people who are seeking physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Our healing prayer ministry is founded on our confidence in God the Father, who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavens; Jesus Christ the Son who has redeemed us by his blood; And the Holy Spirit who fills us with the fire of his love. Persons seeking prayer from the healing prayer ministry will be given the opportunity to make an appointment with a prayer team for one or two confidential prayer sessions. IGNITE Middle School Youth Group - 6th, 7th and 8th grade - We’ll have our 2nd Annual trip to River Valley Ranch in Manchester, MD, for their Fall Youth Retreat. The trip was a huge success last year, and we’re looking forward to another great experience in nature, in Christ and in each other. W e’ll leave SMB on Friday, September 7th at 4:30, and return to SMB on Sunday afternoon, September 9th. We’ll attend mass Sunday morning at St. Bartholomew in Manchester. Cost is $150 per camper, which includes programs, meals, activities, and housing accommodations. We’ll need a $50 deposit by August 20th. Spring is here! Join us for an “Afternoon Tea” sponsored by the HSA on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 11 am-2 pm. Raffle tickets sold at the event to win lots of great prizes to include American Girl items as well as a Grand Prize Raffle item! Door prize giveaway to one lucky guest. Vote for your favorite table decorated by our SMB classes and table sponsors. Event is open to all ages, bring your friends and the whole family. $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. The Parish will be sponsoring a pilgrimage to Mother Seton Shrine in Emmitsburg on Saturday, April 28. We will leave at 8 A.M from the church and be back by 8 P.M. that night. Father Conley will be leading this pilgrimage to the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton where we will offer mass, have a tour, and eat lunch. While in Emmitsburg we will also visit the Lourdes Grotto. On the way back from Emmitsburg we will stop at Springfield Manor Winery in Thurmont for a wine and cheese tasting. Thanks to the generosity of a benefactor and the Keller Bus Company, the cost of the trip is just $35.00 per person and includes lunch and the winery visit.
