St. Mary’s Catholic Church is located just off Oliver’s Shop Road in Bryantown, Maryland, approximately 1.2 miles off of MD Rt. 5. (Leonardtown Rd.). The Church is located right across the road (Oliver’s Shop Road) from T.C. Martin Elementary School. St. Mary’s Catholic School, St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, and the Memorial to preserve the history and memory of St. Mary’s Colored School are also located on the parish site.

From Waldorf (& Points North):

Take Route 5 South (Leonardtown Road) from Waldorf.

Continue through the intersection of Rt. 5 and Billingsley Road.

Continue through the intersection of Rt. 5 and Rt. 488.

Stay right.

Watch for a Shell Gas Station and a white building which is a strip shopping center on the right.

Turn right at the intersection just after you pass the Shell Station onto Oliver’s Shop Road.

Follow approximately 1.2 miles and turn left onto Notre Dame Place (just across the road from T.C. Martin Elementary School). The entrance comes up quickly after you go up a small hill. Look for the signs alerting you to being in a “school zone.”

From Mechanicsville (& Points South):

Take Route 5 North towards Waldorf.

Continue through Hughesville area and pass by Rt. 231.

Turn left off of Rt. 5 onto Oliver’s Shop Road. If you come to the intersection of Rt. 488 and Rt. 5 you have gone too far.

Follow approximately 1.2 miles and turn left onto Notre Dame Place (just across the road from T.C. Martin Elementary School). The entrance comes up quickly after you go up a small hill. Look for the signs alerting you to being in a “school zone.”

Another Route to Take From Points South of Bryantown:

If you are very familiar with Rt. 231 (Burnt Store Road), you can turn left onto Rt. 231 from Rt. 5 North and follow it until it comes to a “T” intersection. Turn right onto Oliver’s Shop Road. Continue about 2 miles and turn right onto Notre Dame Place just across from T.C. Martin Elementary School).
